Where to Stay Near Lewiston Lake for Fishing Trips

A local's take on cabins, RV sites, and quiet mornings on the water.

Where to Stay Near Lewiston Lake for Fishing Trips

Lewiston Lake holds trout year-round because it stays cold — it's the afterbay below Trinity Dam. If you're fishing it, where you sleep matters more than your gear.

Be close to the water at 5:30am

The bite is early. Staying in Redding means a 5am alarm and an hour of highway. Staying at the resort means coffee, truck, launch. Our cabins all have kitchens so you can eat before dawn without waiting on a diner.

Cabin or RV site?

Solo or pairs do fine in the small cabins. Groups running multiple boats usually book an RV site with hookups and one cabin as a base camp. Both have space to rinse gear and hang waders.

Club and group trips

We host fishing and hiking clubs regularly — block bookings, early checkout flexibility, and a common area for the fish stories. Details on the fishing & hiking clubs page.
